State & Local Chapters
The State and Local Chapters are the heart and soul of the Ronin Martial Arts Society. These are where the true networking begins. Theses chapters are where the regular training gatherings take place. Each state and local chapters are led by a chapter head which has been approved by the society president. A strict selection process ensures that the chapter head is a qualified leader and competent martial artist.
Chapter Head Selection Requirements
Any member may request to form a state and/or local chapter, provided there is not already an existing chapter in the desired location. Generally, only one chapter may exist in any given city or municipality; however, exceptions may be granted for larger cities if the locations are far enough apart to cover different regions within that city. State chapters are limited to one per state.
To become a chapter head, the candidate must complete submit an email containing the applicant's biographical information, an attached résumé, and a 15-minute video link demonstrating the applicant's martial arts/combatives proficiency. The proficiency video may include solo forms demonstration, bag work, wooden dummy work, partner drills, technique demonstration, and/or any other skills demonstration the applicant believes best showcases his or her martial arts proficiency. The purpose of this application process is to ensure that the chapter-head applicant possesses the qualities necessary to coordinate a training group of this nature. There is not fee associated with this application process.

Chapter Head Responsibilities
Each chapter head is responsible for coordinating training times and locations within the chapter. The frequency of training is up to each chapter head. Society Chapter gatherings may occur as frequently or as seldom as desired within each chapter. There is no time limit or time requirements for these gatherings either. Training may be set up in a seminar format, where members are selected in advance to share with the group; in a pair-up format, where members pair up and exchange ideas, techniques, and concepts with each other; or in any other format that allows everyone in attendance the equal opportunity to share their knowledge with the group.
